Well, we have actually seen a spike in sales since the beginning of the pandemic. Sales in the Canadian market have increased more than 8.6 percent between September and October of 2021, the biggest surge we have seen since the first lockdown in 2020. Why has this surge occurred?
Well, there are several factors at play. Working from home became more popular as the pandemic progressed and many employers saw an opportunity to reduce their overhead costs by keeping everyone at home. This created the need for people to have home offices and larger workspaces. Not many people had the space for an office readily available in their homes.
As a result, upgrading to a larger home became their only option. With the introduction of the stay-at-home and social distancing rules, many families became desperate. Seeing and caring for their loved ones had become more difficult than ever. To solve this problem, many families decided to upgrade to larger homes to have space for Grandparents, Aunts, and Uncles, etc.
